About Me – The Practical Parent
Hey, I’m Silvia - a single mum of two beautifully wild little humans, figuring life out one meltdown (sometimes mine!) at a time.
My daughter is 8, autistic with ADHD, and my little boy is 2, with speech delay and possibly more to uncover as he grows. I’m also discovering my own neurodivergence, which has been eye-opening, healing, and sometimes just plain messy.
I’m originally from Italy and moved to London when I was 20. I’ve worked with children for years, studied child development, I spent time learning about child psychology and have a childcare qualification - but trust me, parenting your own kids, especially when you're breaking generational cycles and doing it alone, is a whole different story.
If you're searching for realistic parenting strategies, conscious parenting support, or just need someone who gets the everyday chaos, The Practical Parent is here for you. I share relatable tips, printables, and emotional support designed for real-life families, especially those navigating parenting with ADHD, trauma recovery, or neurodivergence. You don’t need to be perfect, just willing to try.
Whether you’re neurodivergent, parenting SEN kids, homeschooling, or just trying to survive bedtime... you’re in the right place.
Pull up a chair. Let’s be honest together.
